5 dogs, 4 kids and 1 big pile of dirt

Despite mom being sick for virtually the whole trip, we had a fantastic spring break visit to see Eddie, Angie and Heath in Mississippi. Grandma, Darien, Regina and us girls went for a long, long ride in the car (we also brought grandma's dog, Ivy, but left daddy at home...he had to work).

The kids played outside from sun-up to sun-down, in the dirt, with the dogs, on the trampoline. We could barely get them to come in for lunch.

VeVe did great too...enjoyed the big kids, the dogs, even the trampoline. In fact, she started saying "dog-dog" and calling Ivy "Aya" while we were there.

She and Uncle Eddie bonded.

Eddie even agreed to watch the kids so grandma, Angie and I could go in to town one afternoon, but not without a bit of preparation...

Estelle was probably the saddest to leave Red, her "most favorite dog in the whole wide world." I was sad to leave Eddie, Angie and Heath -- we won't get to see them for a while so the pictures will have to remind us of the fun trip we had and the great hospitality they always show us.
